Samsung has unveiled its new 2019 flagship lineup of 8K QLED TVs, namely the Q950R series, offering screen sizes from 55 inches all the way up to a massive 98 inches.
Improvements over 2018’s Q900R include “Ultra Wide Viewing Angle” technology, upgraded anti-reflective filter, as well as 8K/60Hz HDMI 2.1 ports on the One Connect Box at launch. Release date of the Samsung Q950R is slated for March/ April.
Samsung has also reaffirmed its commitment to provide a complementary upgrade of 8K@60Hz HDMI 2.1 One Connect Box for owners of the Q900R.
Although last year’s Q9FN and other 2018 QLEDs also featured the “Ultra Black Elite” filter, Samsung reassured us that the 2019 version has been improved despite no change in the marketing phrase.
